Ronald E. Grover, 1946-2009

Ronald E. Grover, age 62, of Johnson, Kansas, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, Kansas.

He was born June 2, 1946 in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of Lloyd and Vera (Stafford) Grover. Ron grew up and graduated high school in Springfield, Colorado.

Ron has lived and farmed in Johnson since 1966. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He was also a fan of KU Basketball, enjoyed fishing, camping and going to the lake. Ron attended the First Baptist Church in Johnson.

On August 25, 1964, he married Frances Brown at Clayton, New Mexico. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Wesley Grover and wife Karen of Johnson, Kyle Grover and wife Tami of Hays, Kansas; one brother, Gerald Grover of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Beverly Aragon of Ft. Worth, Texas, Winona McCormick of Pueblo, Colorado and four grandchildren; Mitchell Grover, Leighton Grover, Tressidy Grover and Tia Grover and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church, Stanton County Relay for Life or the Stanton County Recreation all in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
