The Artist:	I am Gloria Jean; a full time professional self-represented artist. I have been painting in oils since a very young age. I have a passion for painting still lifes and people. I live in Springfield Colorado.
Artist's Bio	I measure success by the effect my art has on the viewer, but mostly if I like it, then its a success. If I want to keep it, then it usually sells. I believe an original work of art no matter how simple, retains and transmits the energy and emotion of the artist to the viewer, unlike a print or a copied work. Although there are a lot of fine prints and copies for people to enjoy, you will not get the same feeling and energy from them as you will from an original truly inspired work of art. It is not easy to know the difference until you compare an imitation, knock off or printed copy to the real thing. It is the same with music from an original artist and music produced by skilled musicians. They can sound much the same, but the passion, feeling and energy are just not there. It is my goal with every peice of art I do, to put my truly inspired feeling into each original work so that it meets and connects with the viewer. If I do that then I have accomplished my goal and doing it consistently is what I consider being successful.
Framing:	I live in a remote area and I purchase all my frames by mail and pay shipping to get them here. I offer framed paintings locally, or unframed paintings for shipping. Most of my future work will be stretched to the back of the painting where no staples are showing and will be ready to hang as is.
Authentic Original:	The buyer will receive a letter signed by the artist along with the painting authenticating it to be an original work of art by Gloria Jean of Springfield Colorado. Each painting will be signed, with a copyright notice on the front, however, the absence of a copyright notice on a work of art does not forfeit the artist's ownership of copyright.
Copyright:	Full copyright is always retained by the artist. The purchase of a work of art for personal use and enjoyment does not include the right to copy or publish that art in any way or to reproduce it for commercial purposes.
Shipping:	I ship Priority mail with insurance and tracking. I charge a flat rate for shipping and handling for the lower 48 states, which includes insurance. If a buyer prefers a specific shipping method, please email me and I will see if that is possible. I will ship international, so contact me with the location so I can calculate shipping cost. International buyers should use Paypal.
Returns:	Returns are cheerfully accepted for exchange or credit towards another painting or your money back providing the merchandise is in the same good condition it was when you received it. You have 14 days to return the painting from the time you recieve it. Buyer pays return postage.
Customer Service	It is my goal to have satisfied repeat customers. Your painting will be shipped withing 24 hours of recieving payment if possible.
Payment:	I accept PayPal, money orders and personal checks. Checks must clear before your order is shipped. If you are sending a check or money order, please email me of this so I will know when to expect it.
