In the background of this picture, Firemen are attempting to locate the residents but it was impossible to see anything through the massive amount of smoke that poured from the building..
The blaze at the side of the building by the sidewalk was the first sign of exterior flames but I could see that smoke engulfed the entire building. The fire must have been throughout the interior.
Firemen concerned about spectators getting too close to the scene asked me to leave the area as I was shooting this picture from our lot across the alley from the fire.
I was able to get these pictures because my house was in the same block across tenth avenue from Hometown burritos. The pictures were originally almost totally dark but I lightened them up with a photo enhancing program on my computer.
